Camp Scholarships

Aurora Lutheran Church offers camp scholarships up to $100 per child per year. A select number of scholarships will be granted based on available funds.  Scholarships are for children wishing to attend a faith-based camp.  The deadline to apply for a camp scholarships is 30 days prior to camp.

Student Scholarships

Four scholarships in the amount of $300 each are available.

The Betty Thompson, Aurora, and Joyce & Roger Rosecke scholarships are available to students attending an accredited college, vocational or trade school.  Those in graduate school may not apply.

• To receive the scholarship, the applicants must be a graduated senior, attending college or a vocational school.

• No one will receive a scholarship more than once.

• The applicant must be  a member of either Aurora Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church of Bixby.

The Arthur Lewison Scholarship differs from the above in these areas:

• To receive the scholarship, the applicant must have completed two (2) years of college, vocational or trade school, and either be in their 3rd or 4th year of school, or pursuing a 2nd degree at a 2 or 4 year school.

• If the applicant has received either the Betty Thompson, Aurora or the Rosecke Scholarship, they are still eligible for the Arthur Lewison scholarship.

• No one can receive the Arthur Lewison Scholarship more than once.

• Priority may be given to those who have applied previously and did not receive the scholarship.

• The applicant may apply more than once for this scholarship if they did not receive it previously.

The scholarship committee consists of four people who will remain anonymous.  There is a new committee every year.  The pastor does not serve on the committee.
